Epitel Names Dexcom Exec Steve Pacelli as CEO

Epitel, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for patient-focused brain health solutions, has appointed Steve Pacelli as its new chief executive officer (CEO). Current CEO and founder Mark Lehmkuhle will transition to the role of chief technology officer.

Pacelli is a seasoned executive within the medical technology industry. Before joining Epitel, he worked in numerous roles throughout an almost twenty year role at continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) company Dexcom. He was Dexcom’s chief operating officer from 2010-2012 and most recently served as its EVP and managing director of Dexcom Ventures.

Epitel said Pacelli touts expertise in scaling groundbreaking tech, forging strategic partnerships, and driving operational excellence.

Epitel specializes in wearable, wireless, and non-invasive EEG technology. The company has made significant strides in developing its REMI portfolio, an AI-enabled seizure monitoring platform. In November, the company earned FDA clearance for REMI Vigilenz AI For Bedside Notifications, a device that conducts an automated analysis of EEG data collected by the REMI wireless wearable EEG System in near real-time.
